Serendipity: “The gift of making delightful discoveries – by accident"

Whilst not an accident it was good chance that my wife and I selected the Langleigh Guest House from the extensive list featured in your holiday and short breaks guide 2005.

From arrival to departure we were made to feel at home. Fie cuisine was taken in the recently completed splendour at number 14.

As worldwide travellers, many so called luxury hotels that we have visited would be overshadowed by this haven.

The Langleigh complements the city of Carlisle; Carlisle should compliment the Langleigh.

Yours sincerely

I came as a guest and was treated as a friend.

My wife and I spent a highly enjoyable week as the guests of Mrs Rogers and were very impressed by the standards she offered. There was a warm welcome, the bed was one the comfortable I have ever slept on, fesh milk was provided for the morning cup ot tea and nothing was too much trouble. We particularly appreciated the evening meal shed offered at a time convenient to ourselves. My wife has a serious dietary problem and Mrs Rogers took a lot of effort to give attractive, nourishing meals within the constraints of the diet. We both found Mrs Rogers culinary skills superb! If all Carlisle's guest house offer the same standards the whole world will beat a path to your lovely city.

We will be back!

Yours faithfully

We received a very warm welcome on our arrival which had been postponed due to travelling difficulties. The accommodation was excellent, the house beautifully decorated for the Christmas season; the breakfasts very good and the friendly service given by Yvette and her staff could not be bettered.

Altogether a pleasant experience which we would recommend!

Yours Sincerely
